About Oak Hill Hunting Preserve
Oak Hill Hunting Preserve is a family operation
specializing in the raising and hunting of pheasants, quail, and
partridge. With over 500 acres, we offer a wide variety of terrain
consisting of marsh, wooded areas, and corn and alfalfa fields. This
variety allows each hunter to choose the desired terrain in the hunt,
which is especially helpful when training young dogs. All hunters
must have a dog.
Our hunting season begins September 1 and ends
February 28. We are open daily from dawn to dusk except from the
Wednesday before and through the week of deer hunting season. No
deer hunting is allowed on the preserve.
A membership allows unlimited hunting throughout
the season at your own pace, however, all birds must be released prior to
December 20. The avid hunter may still hunt after all the birds are
released. Memberships are limited so we also offer daily hunting and
corporate or group hunts. We will tailor a one day hunt for you and
your group.
No appointments are needed due to the large
hunting areas we have available. There is neither lengthy waiting
for your pheasants to be released nor any time limit on your hunt.
A Place to Relax After the Hunt
Oak Hill offers a comfortable Clubhouse to relax
and unwind after you complete your hunt. Changing facilities are
located inside for you convenience. Refreshments are also available
under a self-serve honor system. Please stop in and enjoy.
